The award for design that thinks ahead
With its broad spectrum, the German Design Award is one of the most prestigious awards in the design landscape across all industries. Since 2012, authoritative design trends have been presented to a broad public and honored here – and in 2022, the award will celebrate its tenth anniversary. On this occasion, the winners will be chosen under the motto “How designers think”. Finding answers to today’s challenges with design and thinking ahead design possibilities – it is precisely this achievement that is honored in the award.

Among many others, we have also applied with SLOWLI Concept for the German Design Award 2022. As a sustainable company, our products and our focus on deceleration and conscious consumption provide an answer to one of today's greatest challenges: the protection of our environment.
Our courage has been rewarded – and we are absolutely delighted. We were named “Winner” in the Excellent Product Design and Eco Design categories – the award ceremony took place in Frankfurt am Main in February 2022.

Statement of the jury
Real added value through unique design
The German Design Council, which was established as a foundation back in 1953 on the initiative of the German Bundestag, presents the award year after year. Its mission: to represent the design scene in the German-speaking world. Since its founding, the Council has supported industry in achieving added brand value through design and has thus become the German brand and design authority.
Awards are given to products and companies in the three categories “Excellent Product Design,” “Excellent Communications Design” and “Excellent Architecture” – these cover all areas of everyday life and reflect the diversity of our design culture. The decision as to who will receive a “Gold”, “Winner” or “Special Mention” award in 2022 was made by an international jury of 37 heads who are themselves active in the design field in a wide variety of ways.
