The award for brands that change the market sustainably
The Green Product Award has been recognizing special products and services in the areas of sustainability, innovation and design since 2013. In eleven categories, startups and established companies have the chance to convince the jury – these include categories like Architecture & Tiny Houses, Interior & Lifestyle, Mobility and New Materials.
Evaluation criteria for nominees and winners
An international jury of experts reviews all applications, from which the nominees and then the winners are selected. Both overarching and subject-specific evaluation criteria are taken into account. The overarching criteria for each product or service are the approach, the elaboration and the impact on the environment and society. This includes the originality and reproducibility of the advertised product, as well as the quality of its elaboration and the way it is implemented.
Slow wool collection
Winner in the category Interior & Lifestyle
Together with 1500 participants from 54 countries, we also applied for the Green Product Award 2022 with our SLOW WOOL collection and are more than proud to have made it to the winners in the category Interior & Lifestyle. Since the interior in our home not only affects our mood and well-being, but also our health, the Green Product Award in this category honors products for contemporary and sustainable home furnishings. Environmentally friendly and energy-efficient concepts for furniture, lamps, accessories and more are wanted here – and this is precisely the requirement we meet with our regional SLOW WOOL Collection.

The three criteria of design, innovation and sustainability fall under the subject-specific evaluation. In the case of design, an overall approach comprising aesthetics, functionality and construction is evaluated. In terms of innovation, the jury examines whether the product or service fulfills an existing need better than solutions previously available on the market. And in terms of sustainability, the application is judged along all phases of the life cycle.
