Social cooperation
TOGETHER FOR A MORE SUSTAINABLE LIFE
Working with our hands is relaxing; it allows us to slow down and consciously pay attention to what is in front of us, strengthening our awareness. As a result, we create unique and genuine products with charm and character. At the heart of creating these products are time and tranquillity, elements that are the antithesis of our hectic society. And because we are committed to this path at SLOWLI, we cooperate with social institutions, where people with special needs and a great deal of passion make our rugs and pillows.

HANDMADE PRODUCTS, TO CONSCIOUSLY SLOW DOWN
In a world that constantly strives for speed and perfection, people with disabilities are sometimes left out. For us, sustainability and a conscious lifestyle mean not only prioritising raw materials and fair working conditions but also taking social responsibility. For us, this means employing people who have unconventional strengths or a unique and special way of working.
In social cooperatives, recycled materials are given a second life.
They are upcycled with love and handcrafted into exclusive new pieces for your home. In this way, we create an important countertrend to mass-produced products, which often exploit impoverished countries. There, the materials, shapes and colours of these products don’t have much importance, whereas, for our socially manufactured products, these details matter most. This translates into benefits for both sides: The people who create them and the customer.

SUPPORT BEYOND THE WORK
In addition to the work itself, our social partner institutions, all of which are located in South Tyrol, offer further benefits for the people who work there. For example, independence and self-confidence are promoted, the community is strengthened, and support is provided in all practical areas of life. Recognition of the work done and self-determination are the most important building blocks for building self-competence. As we all know, people with disabilities deserve the opportunity to feel like a valuable part of our society.
